The project team conducted a total of four public meetings, two Public Information Meetings and two Community Informational Workshops.

Public Information Meetings

The project team conducted two Public Information Meetings in December 2019 to provide opportunities for the public to learn about the project and its progress.

Community Informational Workshops

The project team conducted virtual Community Informational Workshops in January and March 2021. This included a presentation on the Airport Master Plan Update and provided a chance for the public to interact with the project team. See meeting summaries below.

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is made up of members of the community, from both East Haven and New Haven. The project team has already identified and contacted the members of the CAC.

The four meetings were conducted in February 2020, October 2020, January 2021, and March 2021.

Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) includes airport staff, Air Traffic Control Tower personnel, airport users such as airlines, planners, fixed-based operators and other tenants, and representatives of federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The TAC will serve to:

  • Assist the project team with technical expertise,

  • Provide oversight and technical review of project team work,

  • Act as a “sounding board” for the development and analysis of various master plan alternatives, and

  • Assist in the distribution of project information to the larger public.

The project team has already identified and contacted the members of the TAC.

The four meetings were conducted in February 2020, October 2020, January 2021, and March 2021.
